Frank "Jake" Abbott, Ph.D.
Dr. Frank "Jake" Abbott served as Adjunct Professor at the University of Southern California (USC) and is a former staff member at UC Berkeley Graduate School of Education. Dr. Abbott served as Superintendent of the Fresno Unified School District, the Mt. Diablo Unified School District, and the Huntington Beach Union High School District. He served as Chairman of the Association of California School Administrators State Superintendency Committee and as a Commissioner to the Governor's Commission on Educational Quality. Dr. Abbott is a founding partner of Leadership Associates, an educational consulting firm that assists California school districts and foundations to find superintendents and CEOs. He received his B.A. and M.A. degrees from Fresno State University and a Ph.D. from USC.
Marcy Bullmaster, Ed. D.
Dr. Marcy Bullmaster is a Senior Research Consultant for Kaplan K12 Learning Services. As Program Chair for Kaplan University's Graduate School of Education, Dr. Bullmaster developed the conceptual framework and innovative online courses for the University's Masters Degree in Education. Prior to that, she served as Executive Director of Curriculum for Kaplan K12 Learning Services. She has helped author nationally-recognized publications with Dr. Linda Darling-Hammond (including What Matters Most, the report of the National Commission on Teaching & America's Future). She has also been a professional development consultant in New York through Bank Street College of Education and New Visions for Public Schools and an Adjunct Professor at Teachers College, Columbia University, and at New York University. Dr. Bullmaster received her Ed.D. from Teachers College, Columbia University and holds administrative and teaching certifications in New York.
Barbara Hill, Ph.D.
Dr. Barbara Hill has earned many years of experience in educational administration at Atlanta area public schools and has served in roles as Associate Superintendent, Area Superintendent, Director of Procurement and Certification, Principal of a middle school and an elementary school, Director of Leadership Evaluation Instrument, and Staff Developer. Before moving into educational administration, Dr. Hill served as an elementary school teacher for 17 years in Atlanta public schools. She has conducted numerous leadership training workshops and seminars and is a member of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development and the National Association of Secondary School Principals. She received her doctorate in Educational Leadership from Clark Atlanta University.
Raymond J. McNulty
Raymond J. McNulty is a senior consultant for the International Center for Leadership in Education and executive director of its Successful Practices Network. Since 1973, Ray has been a teacher, vice principal, principal, and superintendent. He has also served as Vermont's education commissioner, president of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD), and a Senior Fellow at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Widely recognized for his work on behalf of early childhood education, Ray has presented on the state, national, and international levels about raising performance standards for teachers and students, as well as the need for school systems to help forge solutions for the challenges that lie ahead. Ray holds a Bachelor's degree in education from Bridgewater State College in Massachusetts, a Master's degree in education administration from Johnson State College, a certificate of advanced graduate study in administration and planning from the University of Vermont, and received an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from Marlboro College in 2002.
John W. Sanders, Ed.D.
Dr. John W. Sanders began his career in public education teaching at a high school in Illinois and went on to lead four Michigan high schools as Principal. He has served as Superintendent of Delton Kellogg Public Schools in Michigan, Jackson Public Schools in Mississippi, and Hernando County and Lee County Schools in Florida. Dr. Sanders is a member of many educational associations, including the Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals, Michigan Association of Schools Administrators, Mississippi Association of School Administrators, and the Florida Association of District Superintendents. He also served on and chaired the Curriculum Committee of the Michigan Association of Secondary School Principals. Dr. Long received his B.A. from Beloit College, M.A. from Michigan State University, and Ed.D. from Wayne State University.
